About ChefSolver
What is ChefSolver
ChefSolver is a density-based cooking conversion and recipe-scaling platform. It helps cooks convert between cups, grams, milliliters, tablespoons and teaspoons using ingredient-specific data rather than one-size-fits-all assumptions. This matters because volume and weight are not interchangeable across ingredients. One cup of flour does not weigh the same as one cup of sugar, oil, cocoa powder or chopped vegetables. ChefSolver is designed for recipes where measurement precision affects the result: baking, meal prep, recipe scaling and metric-to-US conversion.
What ChefSolver includes
- Full recipe converter — paste any recipe, convert units, adjust servings
- Ingredient-specific unit converters — cups, grams, ml, tablespoons, teaspoons per ingredient
- A–Z ingredient index — density-referenced values for hundreds of ingredients
- Printable kitchen charts and prep-friendly references
Published by Fidamen
ChefSolver is published by Fidamen. Our editorial process prioritizes measurement accuracy and data transparency. Every conversion table is reviewed against authoritative sources before publication.
How conversions are verified
Our conversion data comes primarily from the USDA FoodData Central database, supplemented by King Arthur Baking ingredient weight charts and verified through cross-referencing multiple authoritative sources. We use the spoon-and-level method as our baseline for volume measurements, and all density values are documented with their source.
Content review
All conversion data on ChefSolver is reviewed by Ugo Candido.
