Frequently asked questions

Is a US cup the same as a metric cup?

No. A US cup is 236.588 mL while an Australian/metric cup is 250 mL. Most US and international recipes use the US cup. This chart uses the US standard.

Can I use this chart for dairy products?

Yes. The chart includes conversions for milk, cream and yoghurt. Because dairy has a density slightly above water (around 1.02–1.04 g/mL), the gram weights are also listed where relevant.

What format is the printable?

The Etsy download includes PDF files sized for A4 and US Letter paper, ready to print at home or at a print shop.
