This Privacy Policy explains what personal data ChefSolver collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Yeah Up S.r.l. is the data controller for personal data processed through this website.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so under Article 37 GDPR. You can reach us on any privacy matter at the email address above.
2. Summary
- You do not need an account to use ChefSolver.
- We do not ask for your name, address, or payment details.
- We use analytics to understand how the site is used, and we display advertising to fund the free tools.
- Advertising and analytics use cookies and similar technologies. In the EU, UK, and other regions where required, these are only used after you consent.
- We do not sell your personal data for money. However, some US state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include interest-based advertising — see Section 11.
- You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via the "Update Privacy Settings" link in our footer.
3. What data we collect
We do not require registration and we do not knowingly collect data that directly identifies you by name.
a) Data collected automatically when you visit
- IP address (used to determine approximate location and for security; truncated or anonymised where technically possible)
- Browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size
- Referring URL, pages viewed, time spent, clicks and scroll behaviour
- Date and time of request, and technical request headers
- Approximate geographic location derived from IP (country/region level)
b) Data you provide voluntarily
- Values you type into our converters and calculators. They are processed in your browser to return a result and are not sent to or stored on our servers.
- Information you include when you contact us through our support page or by email (including your email address and message content).
c) Data collected through cookies and similar technologies
- Cookie and device identifiers used for analytics, advertising, and consent management
- Advertising identifiers and inferences used by our advertising partners to select ads
d) Data we do not collect
We do not collect special categories of data (health, religion, political opinions, biometric data), and we ask that you do not send such information to us.

Where our basis is legitimate interest, our interest is in operating, securing, and improving a free website. You have the right to object to this processing — see Section 10.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels.
We use the following categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and to remember your privacy choices. These are always active and do not require consent.
- Analytics — help us understand which pages are used and where problems occur.
- Advertising — used by our advertising partners to serve, measure, and (where consented) personalise ads.
In the EU, UK, and other regions where consent is required, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them through our consent banner.
You can change your choices at any time via the "Update Privacy Settings" link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how the site works.
6. Advertising
This website is funded by advertising. We work with Journey by Mediavine, an advertising management service, to display ads on our pages.
Our advertising partners and their own partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ad performance, and — where you have consented — to show ads based on your interests.
Where you have not consented, or where you have withdrawn consent, our partners are instructed to serve non-personalised advertising instead. Non-personalised ads still require limited technical data to be delivered and measured.

7. Analytics and audience tools
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) — to measure traffic and usage. IP addresses are handled by Google in accordance with its own documentation, and data is retained as described in Section 9.
- Grow by Mediavine — required in order to run Journey advertising. Grow measures traffic and engagement and supports audience features. Grow is subject to Mediavine's own privacy terms.
8. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data for money. We share data with the following categories of recipients, each acting as a processor or as an independent controller under its own policy:

We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
9. International transfers and retention
Transfers. Some of our providers are established in the United States or process data there. Such transfers take place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, together with any additional measures required.
Retention.
- Server and security logs: 30 days
- Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics retention setting)
- Advertising and consent identifiers: as set by our advertising partners and your consent record, typically up to 13 months
- Support correspondence: 24 months from last contact
We delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
10. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EU, the EEA, or the UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including profiling
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@yeahup.net. We will respond within one month. Because we do not collect account data, we may need additional information to locate data relating to you — or we may be unable to identify you at all, in which case we will tell you.
Right to complain. If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority:

11. US state privacy rights
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or another US state with an applicable privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Important clarification. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws, the use of advertising cookies to deliver interest-based advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
You can opt out at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer, or by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honour automatically.

12. Children
ChefSolver is a general-audience cooking utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 (or under 13 in the United States). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
We use HTTPS across the site, a web application firewall, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Links to other websites
Our pages may link to third-party websites, including recipe sources and reference material. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to them.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be signalled on the site.
